The Changsha Customs announced recently that Hunan's import and export volume amounted to 512.19 billion CNY in the first 11 months of this year. Among them, exports hit 300.34 billion CNY, while imports increased by 10% to 211.85 billion CNY. Imports set a new high compared with the same period in previous years.

長(zhǎng)沙海關(guān)近日發(fā)布，今年前11個(gè)月,，湖南省進(jìn)出口總值5121.9億元,。其中，出口3003.4億元,，進(jìn)口2118.5億元,、增長(zhǎng)10%，進(jìn)口規(guī)模創(chuàng)歷史同期新高,。

In the first 11 months, 7,902 enterprises across the province have actual foreign trade performance, 349 more than the January-October period. Production-oriented enterprises accounted for 45.9% of the total, with their import and export volume growing 11.3% to 235.03 billion CNY. Private enterprises took up 77.5% of the total, with their import and export volume amounting to 396.96 billion CNY. State-owned enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises respectively saw a growth of 4.4% and 3.5%.

Hunan's trade with Africa continued to hold the first place in the central and western regions of China, with a remarkable surge to Russia and Taiwan Region. In the first 11 months, Hunan's foreign trade with African countries reached 47.3 billion CNY, topping the central and western regions of China. The import and export with Brazil, Russia, and Taiwan Region reached 23 billion CNY, 20.33 billion CNY, and 18.69 billion CNY, rising 1.3%, 17.3%, and 34.4% respectively.

During the January-November period, Changsha's imports and exports hit 252.62 billion CNY, accounting for 49.3% of the provincial total. Huaihua and Zhuzhou experienced a faster growth in this regard. The import and export volume of Huaihua, Zhuzhou, Chenzhou, and Xiangtan grew 32.4%, 27.1%, 10.5%, and 5.7% respectively.

Impressive growth was seen in export of automobile and agricultural products. In the first 11 months, Hunan exported 165.72 billion CNY of mechanical and electrical products. Among them, exports of automobiles (including chassis), panel display modules, and automatic data processing facilities and their parts and components, increased by 39.7%, 13.4%, and 27.9%. Exports of construction machinery hit 28.72 billion CNY, an increase of 20.7%. Exports of the "three new" products—lithium-ion batteries, photovoltaic products, and electric vehicles—reached 9.55 billion CNY, up 37.1%. Exports of the "old three" products—cellphones, computers, and home appliances—stood at 9.57 billion CNY.
