The 13th Dongting Lake International Bird Watching Festival opened at its main venue in Yueyang City on December 29, 2024.

12月29日,，第十三屆洞庭湖國際觀鳥節(jié)在岳陽市主會場正式拉開帷幕。

Foreign ambassadors to China, consuls-general and envoys, and representatives of friendship cities from six countries were present. Twenty bird-watching teams from home and abroad participated.

本次活動吸引了來自6個國家駐華大使,、總領事和使節(jié),、友好城市代表以及國內(nèi)外20支觀鳥隊伍齊聚洞庭湖畔。

The festival will last until December 31, with activities held in its main venue in Yueyang and sub-venues in Changde and Yiyang. A total of 23 bird-watching spots are set around the Dongting Lake area, leading audience to appreciate the stunning scene of thousands of flying birds.

此次觀鳥節(jié)持續(xù)至12月31日,，共設岳陽主會場以及常德,、益陽分會場，23個觀鳥點覆蓋整個洞庭湖區(qū)域,，帶領游客感受萬鳥齊飛的壯麗景象。

The Dongting Lake area is one of the important wetlands for global biodiversity conservation. Its wetland ecosystem has nurtured 367 bird species, accounting for one third of the species nationwide. Years of continuous conservation efforts have stabilized the number of migratory birds wintering in the Dongting Lake area at over 300,000, with populations of rare species like Siberian cranes and scaly-sided mergansers steadily increasing.

洞庭湖區(qū)域是全球生物多樣性保護的重要濕地之一,，其濕地生態(tài)系統(tǒng)孕育了鳥類367種,，占全國鳥類種數(shù)的三分之一。近年來,，通過持續(xù)治理和保護,，洞庭湖越冬候鳥數(shù)量穩(wěn)定在30萬只以上，其中包括白鶴,、中華秋沙鴨等珍稀鳥類種群數(shù)量逐年增長,。

The December survey released by the Forestry Department of Hunan Province showed a record high of 458,500 migratory birds wintering in the Dongting Lake area. In particular, the number of the birds under first-class national protection, such as Siberian cranes and Baer's pochard, has increased significantly. These facts have fully demonstrated the ecological benefits brought by the improvement of the wetland environment.

湖南省林業(yè)局最新數(shù)據(jù)顯示，12月,，洞庭湖區(qū)域監(jiān)測到越冬候鳥45.85萬只,，創(chuàng)歷史同期最高記錄。尤其是國家一級保護鳥類白鶴,、青頭潛鴨的數(shù)量顯著增加,，充分展現(xiàn)了濕地環(huán)境改善帶來的生態(tài)效益。

Since the initiation of the Dongting Lake International Bird Watching Festival in 2002, more than 300 teams from over 30 countries and regions have participated. More than one million audience gathered around the Dongting Lake, advocating ecological protection with their actions.

自2002年首屆洞庭湖國際觀鳥節(jié)舉辦以來,，已有30多個國家和地區(qū)的300余支隊伍參與,，超過百萬觀眾走近洞庭湖，用實際行動支持生態(tài)保護,。

An "Eye of Dongting Lake" intelligent bird-watching platform was launched as a highlight of the festival this year. Based on slow TV technology and GIS (geographic information system), the platform can realize real-time observation of birds and intelligently find the best positions for bird watching around the Dongting Lake. Users can watch real-time acts of birds through a mini-program on their cellphones, and learn about detailed information about bird species.

今年的觀鳥節(jié)迎來一項全新亮點——“洞庭之眼”智慧觀鳥平臺的正式上線,。該平臺利用慢直播技術(shù)和GIS地理信息系統(tǒng)，實現(xiàn)了洞庭湖鳥類實時觀測與最佳觀鳥點智能定位,。用戶可以通過手機小程序觀看實時鳥類活動,，還能了解各類鳥種的詳細信息及科普內(nèi)容,。
